With over 35 years of professional hairdressing experience, Kathryn's career began in Chatswood NSW. Eventually managing a large salon chain, Kathryn owned Harlequin Hair in Mona Vale in the 1990s and was co-owner of Backstage Hair Design in Avalon until 2004. Kathryn worked freelance while her three boys were small, including working on the Hi-5 Production crew. In October 2019, Kathryn took up a space within Bill's Barber Shop in Willoughby. Hair by Kathryn has grown and expanded with a recent refurbishment to allow for an extra chair and more space.
